The Ramblings of a Dirty Writer

How does an affiliate blog work

Posted on Thursday Mar 25 6:54:00 UTC 2010
There are a fews ways in which you can be paid on your affiliate blog.  Many websites will have options when it comes to how you want to be paid.  Here are some examples and explanations:-

  • PPS - This means Pay Per Sign Up.  This is usually wbsites that do free membership for certain areas of their site, like Webcams.com. This means you will be paid a one off fee for each visitor you refer who signs up.  This is popular because many people will sign up, but not all of them will spend a lot of money.
  • Rev (Or RevShare) - This means Revenue Share.  This can be written in many different ways but they will usually all have the "Rev" bit in them.  This basically means what it says.  If you get someone to sign up to a website from your affiliate link then you will get a share of all revenue from that person.  If they sign up for a membership you will get a percentage of their membership fee each month.  This sort of thing is often on offer with affiliates like HomoEmo and others you can get to from the left box on this page.
Whichever one you decide to be an affiliate of, make sure that you post regular entries on your blog, and make sure you get all the keywords you need in there.  If you're trying a website that has a lot of competition for keywords you really must update regularly and even consider having a blog network.

Remember that I can always help you with the blog posts.  I don't charge much to write them for you, but I will always offer Free advice!
